Everything We Know About Maya Hawke And Christian Lee Hutson’s Valentine’s Day Suprise Wedding With A Stacked Stranger Things Guest List

Love was doing the absolute most this Valentine’s Day, because Maya Hawke and musician Christian Lee Hutson quietly went and got married on 14 February (local time), during a surprise wedding with a very famous front row.
The 27-year-old Stranger Things star said “I do” while her parents Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman reunited to watch their daughter get married, which already feels like a mini ’90s indie film in itself.
According to photos obtained by PEOPLE, Maya wore a white wedding dress and layered a huge, fluffy, feathery white coat over the top, because winter in NYC does not care that it’s your big day.
Christian, 35, kept it classic in a tux, complete with a white shirt, vest and boutonniere.
Thurman arrived in a light blue gown with matching shoes, while Ethan went for an all‑black look, and their son Levon Roan Thurman‑Hawke was also spotted at the ceremony.
The guest list was basically a Stranger Things table read with wedding cake: Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery were all there, plus one of the Duffer brothers. Friends Kathryn Newton, Sam Nivola and Iris Apatow also attended, as per DeuxMoi.
Notably, Hawke’s other co-stars, Noah Schnapp and Millie Bobby Brown, were not pictured in attendance, but hey, not every co-worker can make it to the guest list and that’s okay.

The wedding has been a long time coming for the pair, who first met while recording music years ago and have been collaborating ever since. Christian opened for Phoebe Bridgers on tour between 2022 and 2023, and he appears on Maya’s 2024 album Chaos Angel.
By early 2025, Christian quietly confirmed they were engaged during a SoCal Sound Session interview, answering “Yeah” when host Julie Slater referred to Maya as his fiancée. A couple of months later, she was photographed in Manhattan flashing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

Maya has also been pretty open about why their relationship works. Speaking on the Zach Sang Show in 2024, she said, “I cannot recommend highly enough dating your friends. It’s the best. They know you, they understand that you are a person and a human being who has dated other people … not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of a perfect girlfriend onto.”
Professionally, things are just as busy. Ethan Hawke recently said he was “so proud” of her and called Robin his favourite character while praising the final season of Stranger Things, and after the show wraps she’s set to appear in The Hunger Games prequel Sunrise on the Reaping.
Between a star‑studded Valentine’s Day wedding and a stacked slate of projects, 2026 is looking like a very big year for Maya Hawke, on and off screen.
