Footy legend Jude Bolton’s TV star wife Lynette reveals cancer diagnosis as she starts chemotherapy just before Christmas

Lynette Bolton has revealed a shock breast cancer diagnosis saw her start chemotherapy just days before Christmas, telling her followers, ‘I’m not scared. I’m mostly p***ed off.’

The wife of Sydney Swans legend Jude announced her health battle on Instagram this week and took the opportunity to send a message of support to other women suffering from the killer disease.

‘Starting chemo 6 days before Christmas certainly wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card,’ Lynette began in her post, which featured a video showing her getting treatment and beginning chemo.

‘It is what it f**king is.

‘Less than four weeks ago I noticed a lump on my right breast.

‘Countless doctor appointments, mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies, MRIs, blood tests, breast surgeon and oncology appts later (even a day surgery) AND today I kicked off the first of 12-24 weekly rounds of immunotherapy and chemo.

‘It’s happened fast. Really bloody fast.

‘I’m not scared. I’m mostly p***ed off. I’m really not very good at being told to slow down.’

Lynette – who hosts Channel Seven’s Travel Oz show and is a certified money coach – went on to explain that her health battle means she has to ‘reassess and get crystal clear on what matters in 2026’.

She then had a message for other women who have found themselves in the same position she’s in.

‘For the person who’s just been diagnosed. For the one sitting in a waiting room trying not to spiral. For the one pretending they’re fine so everyone else doesn’t worry. Especially so close to Christmas.

‘If that’s you – you don’t have to be brave all the time. You don’t have to stay positive. You just have to get through today.

‘And if my story helps you feel even a fraction less alone then I’m glad I’m sharing and I’m so bloody glad you’re here.

‘We’ll take this one step at a time. Together.’

The post was accompanied by the caption, ‘On 26th November 2025 you are going to find a lump in your right breast.

‘It’s VERY important you get it checked out.’

Lynette then posted a video filmed on December 10, in which she gave a raw update on how she’s faring.

‘I’m in a lot of f***ing pain. I can’t lift my arm, so I went and had my appointment this morning,’ she said.

‘First thing they said when I went in was, when I did the MRI two days ago, that it picked up something else that they wanted to look at.

‘So the first part of the appointment was having a closer look at this … it obviously wasn’t bad in the end, spoiler alert, it’s fine.

‘So I can hardly lift my arm because I had about eight needles, all in all … and off to my office Christmas party this afternoon, which will probably be the last thing I go to before I tell people [about the diagnosis].’
