Holiday horror as search for a missing swimmer in Hume Dam at Table Top after two children were found alone in a boat comes to tragic end

A body has been pulled from a major dam in southern NSW, four days after a man vanished while swimming.
Emergency services rushed to the dam near Table Top last Tuesday after reports of a missing swimmer.
Police found two children unharmed but alone in a boat when they arrived.
‘Officers attached to Murray River Police District were told a 64-year-old man entered the water from a boat; however, he did not resurface,’ a spokesperson said.
The disappearance sparked a massive multi-agency search involving police and the marine command, along with volunteers from RFS, SES and VRA Rescue NSW.
Crews spent four days over the Christmas period scouring the dam before a body was located on Saturday morning.
The body is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be of the missing swimmer.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
