Hollywood doctors reveal the surprising celebrities on Ozempic at the Emmys… and one who has started SAGGING

The celebrities were back on the red carpet for this year’s Emmys and so, too, it seemed, was Ozempic.
A-listers descended on The Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for the big night, with many appearing noticeably slimmer than in previous years.
Two plastic surgeons who reviewed photos from the event for the Daily Mail said that while some stars had dramatic weight loss transformations, a growing number looked just slightly slimmer in a way that mirrors what they are seeing among many patients on Ozempic.
Dr Smita Ramandham, a plastic surgeon in New Jersey, said: ‘In the past, there were celebrities that had these quick, dramatic weight changes… that you could clearly attribute to these weight loss drugs.
‘But now, there are a number of celebrities that are just a bit more… fit, and just a bit slimmer, than they were in the past.’
She added: ‘For these stars, it is not a dramatic change, but it leaves you wondering whether the shift is due to Ozempic or something they have changed about their diet or exercise.’
Among stars with a dramatic weight transformation was Kathy Bates, who has lost 100lbs thanks to Ozempic, as well as diet and exercise, and Sydney Sweeney, who seemed to have quickly slimmed down after gaining 30lbs last year to play a wrestler.
Surgeons also said that Jenna Ortega, Cate Blanchett and Walton Goggins all showed signs of a subtly slimmer frame, not dissimilar to what they are seeing in many patients on the drugs.

Dr Ramanadham continued: ‘This is similar to what I’m seeing in my clinic now, that a lot of people are using these drugs for just those last five or 10 pounds that they can’t shift.’
The plastic surgeons, who also included Dr Raja Mohan in Texas, based their comments on images of the stars and did not examine them in person.
Daily Mail contacted the celebrities in this article prior to publication to seek comment on whether they had used the drugs.
Below, are the list of stars that surgeons suggest may have used Ozempic or other weight loss drugs:
Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney, 28, gained 30lbs to play a legendary boxer at the end of last year (pictured left in December 2024), but since then she has rapidly slimmed down

The new darling of the political right bulked up 30lbs on a diet of Chick-fil-A and milkshakes late last year to play boxing legend Christy Martin.
But in the six months since she appeared to slim down to star in the American Eagle jeans advertisement and for the red carpet, prompting allegations that she may have used Ozempic or a similar weight loss drug.
Dr Ramanadham said: ‘I think anything that involves rapid weight loss these days typically will involve some sort of GLP1 medication, whether it’s for the entire weight loss or for some of it.
‘We know that, for most people, losing weight tends to be a bit more difficult than gaining weight. But she definitely looks great and more toned in her current photos’
Sweeney, 28, has not revealed how much weight she’s lost since the role or how she achieved the weight loss.
Sources close to the star categorically denied to the Daily Mail that she was or had ever used Ozempic, saying that it was untrue to suggest this was the case.
Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez, 33, reignited rumors that she was using Ozempic or a similar weight loss drug after she stepped onto the red carpet at the Emmys on Sunday. She is shown left in January 2023
Selena Gomez once again sparked speculation that she had used a weight loss drug after appearing for the Emmys on Sunday.
Dr Ramanadham agreed with the suggestions that the 33-year-old had used the drug.
Surgeons pointed to her slimmer shoulders and arms as signs that she had trimmed down significantly compared to earlier photos.
Gomez talked openly about struggles with her weight this month, saying it has ‘stung’ her whenever people have called her large.
She has had fluctuations in her weight throughout her career, which she said was due to using steroids and other drugs to fight her Lupus, an autoimmune condition she was diagnosed with in 2013 where the immune system attacks the body’s own healthy cells.
Walton Goggins

Walton Goggins, 52, has always had a slim frame, but plastic surgeons noted he was slimmer at the Emmys on Sunday. Shown left is the White Lotus star in April this year
White Lotus star Walton Goggins is well known for his lean and slender frame, but at the Emmys, surgeons said he appeared even slimmer than normal.
Dr Ramanadham said: ‘Even Walton may be on Ozempic, I think. He is looking even more chiseled and a little more slimmer than he did before.
‘This could be Ozempic or it could be a change in his lifestyle. I’m just not quite sure.’
Dr Ramanadham said he may be like many patients at her clinic, which are using Ozempic to lose those final stubborn 5lbs or 10lbs.
The 52-year-old actor has never mentioned using the drug, but previously revealed he was on an ‘extreme diet’ for the White Lotus, telling US Weekly that he would not eat until 1pm when he would have two nine-minute boiled eggs.
Kathy Bates

Kathy Bates, 77, has had a dramatic transformation, losing more than 100lbs over the last six or seven years. She said this was mostly achieved with diet and exercise, and that she only used Ozempic to shed the final pounds
Among the celebrities with a more dramatic transformation is Kathy Bates, who has lost more than 100lbs over the last six to seven years.
The 77-year-old said she decided on slimming down after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, the disease that killed her father and grandmother.
She worked off much of the weight with exercise and a restrictive diet, she said, but also used Ozempic to drop the last 15 to 20 pounds.
Asked about whether she uses Ozempic this month, she told Variety: ‘People say, “Well, it was the Ozempic”, F*** you, it was the Ozempic! It took me years to do this.’
Dr Mohan said: ‘Kathy Bates weight loss has been really significant over the last few years.
‘You can tell she has lost a lot of volume, including in her face and her mid-section, and mainly we are now seeing skin laxity [sagging] due to this.’
Jenna Ortega

The above pictures show Jenna Ortega in March this year (left) and at the Emmys on Sunday. Surgeons suggested her slimming may be driven by a weight loss drug
The leading actress in Wednesday, Jenna Ortega is well-known for being slim.
But Dr Ramanadham said that recent photos suggested she had slimmed down further, with the surgeon saying this may have been achieved with the help of Ozempic to lose those last few pounds.
Dr Ramanadham said: ‘You can really see a change in her face, she is much more defined and her clothing shows that she is now very, very slim.
‘I think this falls into the same category that I am seeing with my patients. No one is overweight or obese but they have those stubborn last few pounds that they want to lose so that they can go from being healthy to being a little bit healthier.’
The 22-year-old star has not previously commented on her weight loss or on whether she has used a weight loss drug.
Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett, 56, had a slimmer frame at this year’s Emmys (pictured left in May 2024), which surgeons said may be due to her using Ozempic
Cate Blanchett stunned on the red carpet at this year’s Emmys in a black velvet pantsuit.
But surgeons viewing the show suggested she also appeared to be slimmer than previous years, which they said could be down to weight loss drugs or lifestyle changes.
Dr Ramanadham said: ‘With celebrities like this, they all just look slimmer, these are not dramatic changes, but they could certainly have had a little boost from Ozempic.
‘It is really hard to decipher the difference between Ozempic weight loss and what is lifestyle weight loss, but she is definitely in the camp of celebrities that suddenly look a lot more svelte.’
Blanchett, who played Galadriel in Lord of the Rings, has not previously commented on allegations that she may have used Ozempic.
She has previously spoken about her dietary restrictions, which have included avoiding wheat and trying to turn her family vegetarian.
Jennifer Coolidge

Frontwoman Jennifer Coolidge joked about using Ozempic at the Emmys on Sunday, prompting some surgeons to suggest she may have used the drug
Jennifer Coolidge joked about Ozempic use at this year’s Emmys, telling the crowd that her own prescription must not be working.
Dr Mohan said the comment from the 64-year-old frontwoman made him suspicious that she may be using the drug.
Dr Ramanadham said it wasn’t clear whether Coolidge was using the drugs, although her more defined shoulders suggested she may have slimmed down recently.
She said: ‘It is difficult to say with her black dress on, but her shoulders do look pretty slim and her upper arms do seem slimmer.
‘Having said that, however, I don’t see significant changes in her face or in her neck.’
Catherine O’Hara

Catherine O’Hara, 71, is pictured left in March 2022 and right at the Emmys on Sunday
Speculation was rife that Catherine O’Hara had used Ozempic in early 2024 after she debuted a slimmer appearance.
And at the Emmys on Sunday, Dr Ramanadham said the 71-year-old’s slimmer appearance again suggested that she may have used the drug.
‘She has definitely slimmed down quite a bit,’ said the surgeon, ‘and it is visible across her entire body, definitely her face too’.
‘She fits the pattern with other celebrities, everyone seems a little bit more fit and toned and slimmer. But no one necessarily looks unhealthy.’
It is not clear how much weight Catherine O’Hara has lost, and she has not publicly addressed her weight loss. There is no confirmation that she may have taken Ozempic.
