For the holiday season, Nintendo is beefing up its titles for the Nintendo Switch 2 with more games, like “Mario Kart World,” “Donkey Kong Bananza,” “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment” and others. In addition, the gaming company just dropped a new title to play that revisits a fan-favorite franchise, Kirby.
Enter “Kirby Air Riders” for Nintendo Switch 2, which is the first new Kirby game for a home console since 2022’s “Kirby and the Forgotten Land” for the original Nintendo Switch and sequel to “Kirby Air Ride” for the Nintendo Game Cube in 2003.
The new game is available for purchase for $69 at Walmart, starting on Thursday, Nov. 20. The new installment is a racing game with 21 racers including Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and others, while racing through various tracks on land and in the skies of Planet Popstar.
There’s an inventive racing that really takes advantage of the new Joy-Con 2 hardware, with single-player and multiplayer modes throughout the game.
If you’re a fan of Kirby and “Kirby Air Ride,” then it’s likely you’d be a fan of the sequel “Kirby Air Riders” too. Especially with new playable characters that increases the roster from three in the original game to seven times more with the new game.
There are even more Nintendo Amiibo collectible figures available for additional goodies and boosts. There’s Kirby on a Warp Star and Bandana Waddle Dee on a Warp Star too. Both collectibles go for $49.99 at Walmart.

And since “Kirby Air Riders” is from Walmart, you’ll get it shipped to you for free if you’re a Walmart+ member. Otherwise, your cart has to be more than $35 to get free shipping.
