The first phase of The BRT bus project, with a length of (35 km), which extends from the Police Academy station to the station at the intersection of the Ring Road with the Alexandria Agricultural Road, has been in progress for several months. This phase includes 14 stations: (Alexandria Agricultural – Colonel Ahmed Abdel Rahim in the Sharqawiya area – Shubra Banha – Bahtim – Mostorod – Al-Khosos – Al-Marj – Al-Qalaj – Zakat Foundation – Lieutenant General Ibrahim Orabi – Al-Salam Station Adly Mansour – Suez Road – Police Academy).
The BRT frequency bus project is an environmentally friendly mass transportation means that contributes to facilitating the movement of citizens within the framework of a plan to maintain discipline and traffic fluidity on the ring road. This project contributes to encouraging and maximizing the mass transportation system by attracting new users of public transportation instead of private cars.
It is characterized by The project buses are as follows:
The buses were manufactured locally – Environmentally friendly, electrically operated and air-conditioned.

– It has internal screens and seats designated for people with special needs and children.
– It has places to put bags.
– It is monitored by cameras from the inside, and is supported by cameras from the back.
– It includes two fast charging ports.
– It includes 3 doors, including 2 doors that open parallel to the two doors of the stations on the ring, and these doors were manufactured at a certain height to be equal to the level of the station platform for the comfort of passengers.

The project contributes to connecting the main intersections on the ring road, such as the Suez Intersection, Adly Mansour Intersection, Al-Marg Intersection, and Mostorod Intersection.
The project is considered one of the main arteries that will contribute to connecting the east of the capital with its west, while connecting to the New Administrative Capital by a single means of rapid transportation. It is civilized, clean, and safe to integrate with other means of transportation, as it interchanges service with (the first line metro at Al-Zahraa and Al-Marj Al-Jadidah stations), (the third line metro at Adly Mansour stations – Imbaba) and (the light rail train LRT at Adly Mansour station).
