The internet is abuzz with chatter about why Ashley Tisdale was seemingly ousted from her celebrity mum group, which consisted of the likes of Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor.
Thus far we’ve heard Ashley’s side via the now-infamous essay and we’ve seen Hilary’s husband Matthew Koma‘s clap-back.
Now, we’ve copped some insider tea about what went down and it’s spicy as hell!
What happened between Ashley Tisdale and the mum group?
Several sneaky sources have spoken to various publications, painting a more well-rounded picture of what apparently happened.
According to one source who spoke to Us Weekly, it was just a natural case of one group member drifting from the others due to various factors.
“The root of the issues was that some of the women just became closer friends with each other, and Ashley started to feel left out,” they shared.
“There were times when hangouts or get-togethers were organised at the last minute, often casual outings or quick dinners, and Ashley wasn’t included. There wasn’t any bad intent. Friendships naturally changed and some people bonded more than others.”
They insisted that it was unintentional on the group’s part and that they “didn’t mean to exclude her”.
Another source who spoke to Daily Mail was a little more spicy in their recount of what went down, sharing that things took a turn in the group chat (doesn’t it always?).
“Either some talk too much, not enough, decide to no longer listen or ask questions or be concerned with people’s questions or concerns, and this is what happened with Ashley and the mum group,” they said.
Apparently Tisdale felt “alienated” and that “nobody took her questions to heart” in the group, the source claimed, adding that the other mothers would not “respond to her” when she sent links or “fun memes”.
“She felt forgotten. That is why she decided to call everyone out because she felt jaded by them,” the source said.
They went on to say that Tisdale needs to take more accountability for her role in the friendship breakdown, which is TEA.
“The reason why Ashley is so well known for her character as Sharpay Evans in High School Musical is because that is who she is in real life,” the source said.
“Viewed as self-centered and over the top but at the same degree also misunderstood, she is an easy person to get along with at first but then becomes a little more difficult as you get to know.”
Interestingly, Hilary’s husband also described Ashley as “self-obsessed” in his savage takedown.

It comes after Trainor and Moore put their two cents in — albeit vaguely. What we really need is a response essay from the mums… I’d even settle for a TikTok storytime!
