
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, announced that the activities of the third edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC’25) will include important dialogue discussions on the topic “Investing in health care: the cornerstone of sustainable human development” with the aim of highlighting the role of health as a basic pillar for achieving the sustainable development goals.
The conference will be held from November 12 to 15 2025, at the St. Regis Hotel in the New Administrative Capital, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and under the slogan: “Empowering Individuals… Promoting Progress… Providing Opportunities”
Dr. Abdel Ghaffar explained that the discussions will focus on:
– Highlighting the close relationship between health, economic growth, and human capital.
– The role of health investment in achieving sustainable development goals.
– Expanding Directed investments to improve primary care services.
– Developing hospital infrastructure.
– Promoting health digital transformation.
– The role of international financial institutions in mobilizing resources.
– Implementing blended financing models to attract the private sector.
The sessions will also review Egypt’s national vision and the strategic roadmap for health investment, within the Egyptian state’s human development agenda.
The official spokesman stressed that the sessions reflect the political leadership’s orientation towards transforming health into An engine for comprehensive development, by strengthening partnership between the public and private sectors.
The Ministry of Health and Population invited participants, experts and media professionals to attend the session “Investing in Health Care: The Cornerstone of Sustainable Human Development”, to discuss international experiences and the Egyptian vision towards building a sustainable healthy economy that enhances the quality of life for every citizen.
