Lily Allen In Talks To Adapt ‘West End Girl’ Album Into Stage Play: “Very Exciting”

As Lily Allen prepares for her West End Girl tour, she could be headed for a different kind of stage with her latest album.

The Grammy nominee recently confirmed that she’s in talks to adapt her fifth studio album into a stage play, following West End Girl‘s release in October, which was partially inspired by her pending divorce from actor David Harbour.

“That’s true,” she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when the host brought up the project in the works.

When asked if she’s involved with the production, Allen coyly teased, “I might be. The ink is not dry … But, you know, I’m definitely having some conversations with people about it. It’s very exciting.”

It’s unclear whether Allen would also perform in the show, but not unlikely, given she made her West End debut in Danny Robins’ 2021 play 2:22 A Ghost Storyearning her a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress. She will next appear in Virginia Woolf’s Night & Daya feature adaptation directed by Tina Gharavi.

Allen, who is set to make her long overdue Saturday Night Live return this weekend, embarks on her Lilly Allen Performs West End Girl tour on March 2, 2026, kicking off in Glasgow, UK.
