Lily Allen Is ‘In Talks’ To Adapt West End Girl Into A Stage Show So Who’ll Play Madeline?
The prayers of Lily Allen’s fans have been answered following news that she’s “in talks” to adapt her new album West End Girl into its very own stage show.

Allen made the revelation during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, telling the host it’s “true” that there’s whispers around London of the album being made into a play.
“I might be [involved],” Allen said.
But before you rightfully get your panties in a twist, the singer revealed that nothing has been finalised… yet.
“The ink is not dry … But, you know, I’m definitely having some conversations with people about it. It’s very exciting,” Allen said.
The possibility of West End Girl taking to the literal West End in London is not too far-fetched, given that Allen made her West End debut in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story back in 2021 and nabbed a Laurence Olivier Award nod in the process.
It’s not yet known whether Allen would perform in the *hypothetical* West End Girl play herself, or whether she’d hand the reins to someone else.
But in the album’s universe, having anyone other than Allen in the lead role would be a misdeed up there with having a secret rendezvous on the tennis court (IYKYK).
Allen’s stage acting plays a major role in the story arc of West End Girl, the 14-track album that landed in October and was *partly* inspired by the breakdown of her relationship with Stranger Things star David Harbour.
Naturally, the muddy waters of a splashy celeb divorce led to an instant press frenzy, culminating in resurfaced clips, input from other celebrities, and a woman coming forward claiming to be Harbour’s mistress.
All that juice is certainly enough to sustain a stage adaptation, but I’d be remiss not to leave you with one final question: WHO WILL PLAY MADELINE?
