Livvy Dunne holds hands with Brooks Nader on Baywatch set as they undergo ‘ocean training’ in LA

Livvy Dunne looks like she is already at home in her first big acting job, with the former LSU gymnast pictured getting playful on the beach with Brooks Nader on the Baywatch set.

The pair are two of the standout recruits for the Baywatch reboot and they were having a great time during filming on the beach in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Dunne, 23, recently revealed that she had been taking acting lessons before landing her first big role in the remake of the iconic ’90s television series.

According to Page Six, Dunne and Nader were undergoing ‘ocean training’ at Venice Beach ahead of kickstarting the filming.

They were pictured mastering their slow-motion running into the water and are apparently also working with trained lifeguards to master techniques for their roles.

‘They’re really excited to be working together,’ a source close to the production was quoted as saying about Dunne and Nader, who know each other from previous shoots with Sports Illustrated.

‘They’re having so much fun and bringing that Sports Illustrated energy straight to Baywatch Beach.’

Dunne is playing a junior lifeguard in the new series while Nader is playing one of the lead characters.

The pair seemed to be having a great time together, laughing and joking away in the sunshine on Tuesday while learning the ropes.

Earlier in March, Dunne had revealed how excited she was to try and carve out an acting career.

‘It’s something I’ve been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you’re a student-athlete at school,’ she said.

‘And now that I’m done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things.

‘Whether it’s gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it’s an individual thing or a group thing, I think it’s so cool.’

Dunne’s time in LA comes while her baseball star boyfriend Paul Skenes is representing the United States in the World Baseball Classic, where he has enhanced his reputation as one of the finest pitchers in the game.

Skenes pitched brilliantly in USA’s semifinal victory over the Dominican Republic, a gripping 2-1 win where Dunne was cheering from the stands.

But his involvement in that game on Sunday night meant that Skenes was watching from the dugout as Nolan McLean took to the mound for Tuesday’s final against Venezuela. USA were beaten 3-2 on the night, the team’s formidable attack falling quiet.

Skenes is set to be the starting pitcher for his Pittsburgh Pirates team when they start the MLB season next Thursday against the Mets in New York.

Dunne will almost certainly be there again in the stands to support him.

In February, before the Super Bowl, she told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview that she wants to make it to all his games this season.

‘I’ll try to make all of his starts, that’s my goal this year,’ she said.
