London Fashion Week’s worst-dressed – from Bridgerton star’s racy sheer poncho to monobrow model’s Halloween catsuit

It’s supposed to be a time when style excels – and yet, London Fashion Week left a lot to be desired when it came to celebrities’ outfits.
Since its inauguration in 1984, anticipation has always run high for the British Fashion Council’s event in the capital – with the expectation that famous guests will be just as stylish as the models on the runway.
However, many failed to impress at the five-day event, which concludes today. Bridgerton star Genevieve Chenneour failed to hit the mark as she went braless in a daring sheer poncho for the Poet-Lab show during London Fashion Week (LFW).
The British actress, 28, who played Clara Livingston in the Netflix period drama, covered her breasts with her hands under the polka dot poncho, which featured a ruffled high neckline.
The bizarre design was paired with a non-complementary, metallic ruched maxi skirt and black leather stilettos.
Genevieve’s unique look was completed with a wet-look slicked back hairstyle and a pair of pearl drop earrings.
Making equally questionable fashion choices was Sophia Hadjipanteli, who opted for an outfit perhaps more suited to Halloween than to London Fashion Week.
The model is largely recognised for her black monobrow, which has shook up conversation since she started the #unibrowmovement in 2017.

Stepping out at the Julien Macdonald show at The Shard, Sophia sported a low-cut latex catsuit, which she paired with strappy kitten heels.
Another questionable look came from one-time It girl and DJ Lady Mary Charteris, the daughter of James Charteris, 13th Earl of Wemyss and 9th Earl of March, and the Hon, Catherine Ingrid Guinness.
No doubt wanting to stand out from the crowd, the socialite and model, 38, opted for a very vibrant green strappy frock, featuring a dropped ruffle hem, and sheer cut-out as she attended Annie’s star-studded LFW show at Spencer House.
And while most would safely presume London Fashion Week is all about the glitz and glamour, one guest, Tamara Cincik, clearly didn’t get the memo.
The London-based stylist and editor instead opted to keep it casual in a colourful puffer jacket and matching trousers, as well as bright orange trainers.
Ekin-su Culculoglu, who stepped out at the Julien Macdonald 2026 Runway Show at The Shard, also appeared less than glamorous in a leather coat, featuring a fur neckline and a shirt and tie.
Elsewhere, actress Ruth Wilson, who attended the Erdem show on Sunday, opted for bizarre footwear to complete her outfit.
She donned a blue shirt with creased trousers, teamed with a longline grey coat and a black handbag.

But it was her footwear which really turned heads. The actress sported black high heels featuring fur around the bases of the shoes.
She was joined by Bel Powley, 33, who put on a very leggy display in a grey ruched mini dress with dramatic train which she wore with an oversized embroidered blazer.
Slipping her feet into a pair of ballet flats she posed up a storm in the unusual ensemble before taking her seat in the star-studded front row.
Meanwhile, at the Julien Macdonald event, Janette Manrara stepped out in a low-cut, black dress which featured 80s-inspired puff sleeves and a chunky belt that appeared best left in that decade.
But it wasn’t only women who missed the mark when it came to their fashion choices, with men also suffering fashion mishaps.
Actor Russell Tovey opted for a bizarre range of colours, teaming a fluffy grey and orange jumper with green trousers and black trainers.
