Maggie Al-Halawani, former Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, congratulated the journalist Ahmed Embabi on the occasion of the centenary of Rosa Al-Youssef magazine, stressing that this event is a prominent achievement in the history of Egyptian and international journalism.
During the first session that she moderated, in the celebration organized by the General Authority of the National Library and Archives, today, Thursday, on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the founding of the magazine. “Rose Al-Youssef,” Al-Halwani said: “100 years of Rosa Al-Youssef represents a great achievement, greater than the lifespan of some countries that have not completed their centenary, and I am happy that the owner of this achievement was a woman, as she is one of the first women who were credited with laying the foundations of the Egyptian press.”
She added that Rosa Al-Youssef is a living example of women’s pioneering role in journalism, noting that women were and are still capable of leading media institutions and achieving distinguished achievements in all fields. fields, to be a source of inspiration for younger generations.
