Megyn Kelly blasts Hilaria Baldwin for trying to ‘keep herself in the news’ amid Dancing With The Stars backlash

Megyn Kelly has taken a swipe at Hilaria Baldwin – blasting the reality star for trying to stay relevant.
Kelly, 54, shared her thoughts about the controversial contestant, commenting on Baldwin’s infamous Spanish accent returning during a recent Dancing With The Stars interview.
Last week, the 41-year-old was mocked by viewers following a Good Morning America segment, where she opened up about her DWTS journey and moving her children to LA to film.
The star, who was famously accused of faking a Spanish accent in 2020, appeared to have reverted to speaking in a slight accent – which viewers immediately noticed.
‘I’m starting to feel bad for her,’ Kelly told her guest, Maureen Callahan, on The Megyn Kelly Show.
‘She’s basically just doing anything she can to keep herself in the news,’ the presenter continued.
‘You know, it’s like “whatever I can [do] to be on camera,”‘ Kelly declared.
She listed: ‘That ridiculous reality show that she and Alec were doing, her weird stints as a cook, some sort of home expert on the Today Show, and now, Dancing With The Stars.’

Kelly and Callahan noted the mom-of-seven’s fluctuating accent, describing Baldwin as ‘camouflaging who she is in many ways,’ by wearing fake tan and body makeup during the GMA interview.
Callahan joked that Baldwin didn’t weigh in on Jimmy Kimmel’s return to late-night television as the ‘speech wasn’t in Spanish.’
‘English is her second language,’ Callahan joked with a wink.
Earlier in May, the yoga instructor opened up about her baffling accent in her memoir, Manual Not Included, explaining her fluctuating Spanish accent is due to ADHD and dyslexia, saying that her ‘brain just works differently.’
‘And these [diagnoses] greatly impact my speech, my reading, my listening, my focus, my memory and my self-confidence,’ she wrote.
Kelly has blasted Baldwin for her ever-changing accent and reality stunts in the past.
In May, the journalist had Link Lauren, host of Spot On With Link Lauren, on her show to discuss Baldwin after the release of her memoir.
Lauren said: ‘I don’t know what is going on with her. She is kooky. They are just trying to make money… She is doing a book. She is doing a reality show.’

In the memoir, Baldwin also discussed the accusations that she is a ‘gold digger,’ insisting her relationship with her husband was built on ‘true respect’ and not just ‘physical attraction.’
The Baldwins married in 2012, and now share seven children.
She also reflected on the ‘cruelty’ from the ‘tabloid media and online trolls who tried to diminish me, labeling me as a gold-digging younger woman, someone who doesn’t deserve to be with him.’
In response, Kelly slammed Baldwin, claiming her relationship was ‘fame-driven.’
‘She knows that she is only interesting because she is his wife. And let’s face it, he is one of the biggest stars in America,’ Kelly exclaimed.
‘I think she is a fame digger. It is a different kind of gold. That is my own personal belief on her,’ she continued.
‘Fame is a different form of gold and I think she was extremely attracted to that,’ she pointed out on her podcast.

Last week, Baldwin shocked fans after she inadvertently revealed her true feelings about facing elimination on the show.
A Reddit user shared a screenshot of Baldwin’s comment section on Instagram, where one viewer had disparaged the other contestants as well as the scoring of the show – which Alec Baldwin’s wife had apparently liked.
‘I loved your dance. Honestly I didn’t understand why the scores were so low,’ the fan had written under a video of her dance.
‘It takes credibility from the show,’ they continued. ‘Other participants didn’t perform as well as you did, and they got higher scores. Very disappointing… not credible at all.’
The comment – which the screenshot shows was liked by the author – was noted by Baldwin’s followers, who took to Reddit to share their distaste.
