Minister of Endowments: The Grand Egyptian Museum is a witness to the genius of the Egyptian human being

The Minister of Endowments, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, congratulated the President of the Republic, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the great Egyptian people, on the occasion of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. This is an exceptional event that brings back to human consciousness the immortal spirit of Egypt, and makes the land of Canaan a center for radiating civilization, beauty, and creativity throughout the ages.

 

The Minister of Endowments said – in a statement today, Friday – that the opening of this global edifice is not merely the inauguration of a great museum that embraces the monuments of our ancestors, but rather a renewal of Egypt’s cultural and spiritual message that taught the world the meaning of building and construction, and brought together the mind that creates, And the spirit that builds life, and the taste that promotes human beauty in its highest form.

He added: What we are witnessing today in the care of the Egyptian state, under the leadership of the President, in protecting the human and cultural heritage, is an extension of the message of the prophets to build the earth, preserve beauty, enhance belonging, and invoke a sense of responsibility towards history and humanity, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: {It is He who has created you from the land and settle you therein. [هود:٦١]

He pointed out that the Grand Egyptian Museum is not stone and rock, but rather it is the memory of a nation and the spirit of civilization, and a message to generations that beauty does not fade, and that whoever creates civilization is able to renew it, and that Egypt, which since the dawn of history has raised the banner of science, art, architecture and thought, is returning today to raise it again in a contemporary guise befitting its status among nations.

The Minister of Endowments concluded his speech by stressing that interest in antiquities is important. Heritage is an integral part of the message of religion. Because Islam came to exalt the status of beauty, to order the protection of aspects of reconstruction, and to prohibit corruption and vandalism, as God Almighty said: {And do not spread corruption on earth after it has been put in order.} [الأعراف:٥٦].. Addressing God – Glory be to Him – with prayers to preserve Egypt, its people and its leadership, and to make this great achievement a witness to the continuation of its mission to serve humanity and spread the values ​​of beauty, knowledge and peace.
