Minister of Planning: Egypt is continuing to implement structural reforms aimed at enhancing productivity and investment-based growth

The Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, confirmed that Egypt is proceeding with implementing structural reforms aimed at enhancing productivity and investment-based growth, with a focus on sectors capable of achieving high added value such as industry, tourism, energy, and logistics services.
This came during her participation in the high-level event to launch the “Multiple Trust Fund.” Donors », within the second phase of the G20 Charter for Partnership with the African continent for the period 2025-2030, during the annual meetings of the World Bank Group in Washington, with the participation of Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, Lars Klingebel, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance in the Federal Republic of Germany, and a large number of officials.
The Charter targets a group The G20 Partnership with Africa, stimulating private investment in the continent of Africa, by supporting reforms to enhance the business environment and improve the capabilities of African countries in attracting investments, as the initiative was launched in 2017 during Germany’s presidency of the G20, and the second phase is being implemented, which extends until 2030.
During her speech, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat said that the partnership charter between the G20 and the continent of Africa, It expresses the depth of partnership, collective vision and shared commitment to advancing the process of sustainable development on the African continent, stressing that the launch of the second edition of the Multi-Donor Finance Fund for the Compact with Africa Initiative is a major milestone in the process of international cooperation for development.
