Ministry of Interior: There is no truth to an armed person following another person into the Opera House
The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a post supported by photos published by a person on his personal account on social networking sites, including the allegation that a person carrying a firearm followed him inside the Cairo Opera House in the Zamalek area in Cairo and photographed him while he was talking to his friends.
Upon examination, it was revealed that the person shown in the photos was a police officer from the Criminal Investigation Department force in the Tourism and Antiquities Police Sector, and he was present at his place of service in the Opera House Square as part of the security services for the activities of the Cairo International Film Festival. It is currently being held at the Cairo Opera House.
It has also been shown that it is not true that he tracked or photographed this person or others…and legal measures are being taken regarding these allegations.
