The dismembered remains found in singer D4vd’s car have been identified as Celeste Rivas, who had gone missing from Lake Elsinore, California in April 2024.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner listed Rivas’s official date of death as September 8, 2025, the day after what would have been her 15th birthday.
The records, obtained by The Daily Mail, show her place of death as a vehicle, and confirm she was found inside the 20-year-old star’s Tesla, though the manner of death has been deferred pending further investigation.
The victim’s mother told TMZ that she believed her 15-year-old daughter matched the description that police provided.
Rivas’s mother claimed to the outlet that her daughter had a boyfriend named David and that the police description closely matched her.
According to a missing poster circulated after her disappearance, Celeste was 13 years old at the time she went missing, weighed 120 pounds and had dark brown hair and eyes.

TMZ says it forwarded this information to LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division before confirmation from officials.

Police previously gave a description of the victim, who was a 5’1″ female that weighed 71lbs with black hair and a tattoo on her right index finger that read ‘Shhh…’
According to TMZ, she was found wearing a tube top, black leggings, a metal stud earring and a metal bracelet in the shape of the letter W.

‘D4vd has been informed about what’s happened,’ a spokesperson for the singer told NBC Los Angeles at the time. ‘And although he is still on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.’

It’s unclear whether the singer, known for hits like Here with Me and Romantic Homicide, had loaned his Tesla to someone or if it had been stolen.
Police said the automobile had been at the impound lot for a few days, and the body placed in a bag inside the front trunk of the car.
Footage captured by ABC 7 showed police surrounding the car before it was eventually towed away.
It had Texas plates and had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills prior to landing in the impound lot.
