Brooklyn Beckham’s claims that his mother ‘hijacked’ his first dance with his wife Nicola Peltz and ‘danced very inappropriately on me’ at his wedding sent the internet alight with memes and skits this week.
Now, one fashion business is capitalising on the furore by revealing to delighted fans that they can rent the very same gown that Victoria Beckham wore to her eldest son’s 2022 nuptials.
‘When you rent out the dress that knows exactly what went down at THAT wedding,’ Bedfordshire-based fashion rental platform, Taite Ro, captioned over a clip of the Spice Girl showcasing the slinky frock.
Another of clip on the firm’s TikTok page showed edited images of Brooklyn and Nicola posing at their Palm Beach wedding, while Victoria dances in front of them. ‘Rent THAT dress. Moves may or may not be included,’ joked the caption.
For her son’s big day, the singer-turned-fashion designer, 51, wore one of her own designs; a liquid silver metallic number inspired by the Studio 54 era and by the ‘reflection of the moonlight on the ocean at night,’ explained Victoria.
Showing off the gown on her Instagram page some months after the nuptials, David Beckham’s wife explained that it was ‘developed using the finest metallic yarn from my favourite mill in Como, Italy’.
In the same post, the mother-of-four revealed that her eponymous brand was releasing a ‘very limited number’ of the gowns in silver and gold for customers to buy for £2,450.
It soon sold out on Victoria’s website, with only rental platforms like Taite Ro then stocking the look.

‘An iconic dress is becoming even more iconic,’ the fashion rental platform wrote on TikTok while advertising the Victoria Beckham frock.
‘Love it,’ one fan wrote in the comments, while another said on a similar Instagram post from the brand: ‘What a time for Taite Ro to be alive!’
‘Hahaha this is epic!,’ another person said about the advertising. ‘This is iconic,’ said a fourth, while a fifth added: ‘Omg stop!’
Promoting the dress at the time, Victoria said the evening gown was ‘perfect for party season’.
She explained how the design echoed ‘the glamour of 40s Hollywood, but with the boldness of the 70s club scene’.
Victoria is said to have been left ‘devastated’ after taking the brunt in the vicious family fallout with son Brooklyn and Nicola.
Despite proudly declaring he was a once a ‘mama’s boy’, Brooklyn focused mainly on Lady Beckham in his scathing six-page statement on Instagram, with his vitriolic comments leaving her ‘on the floor in pieces’.

Brooklyn claimed that he had ‘never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life’ after Victoria’s dancing.
He announced on Monday that he has cut all ties with his parents and does ‘not want to reconcile with my family’, adding, ‘I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.’
Brooklyn and Nicola have been at the heart of the acrimonious divide that has resulted in them snubbing all significant family celebrations over recent months, including his father Sir David’s milestone 50th birthday and knighthood.
Victoria has yet to comment on Brooklyn’s statement, instead choosing to post a happy birthday message to her Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton and plug youngest son Cruz’s own blossoming music career.
On Friday, DJ Fat Tony – who performed at Brooklyn’s wedding party – finally confirmed the exact nature of Victoria’s ‘inappropriate’ dance.
The 60-year-old publicly backed the chef, 26, as he branded the incident ‘really awkward’ and confirmed that bride Nicola fled the reception in tears.
Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams, revealed how musician Marc Anthony had called Victoria to the dance floor with her son and instructed him, ‘place your hands on your mother’s hips’.
Speaking on Friday’s episode of ITV’s This Morning, Tony shared: ‘There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC catsuits, no Spice Girl action! The word “inappropriate”, why I said it was as well, it was the timing, this is what happened.’
Tony continued: ‘What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage.
‘Brooklyn went on to the stage, and the next minute everyone’s expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage – and then he says “Victoria, come to the stage”.’

He revealed that Brooklyn looked ‘devastated’ at the fact his first dance was with Victoria and not his wife, adding that Nicola left the room ‘crying her eyes out’.
Tony went on: ‘Brooklyn is stuck there on stage, and they do this dance, and Marc Anthony says “put your hands on your mother’s hips” and it was a Latin thing, and the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room…
‘I’ve done an awful lot of Beckham parties in the past, and they are a very dancing close-knit family and love to dance, right? So you know, what we deem as “inappropriate” is not how Brooklyn feels.
‘This is all about how Brooklyn feels. If he feels that it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward.
‘What’s sad is that this is the bit that everyone’s taken from the statement, and kind of whitewashed everything else that went on.’
Detailing Brooklyn’s motives for going public with his statement, Tony continued: ‘It’s taken a lot for someone to go to social media, when your life is lived out on social media… he wanted to change the narrative.
‘For all of his life, he’s been called [a] nepo baby, and “he should be grateful that he’s got the family name”. But that’s what he was born into, y’know. I think what we’re all missing here is the fact that parents have lost their child and a son has lost his parents.’
The Beckham family feud has been simmering for years, both behind closed doors and in public, with each side desperately battling to protect their version of events and their reputations.
In his lengthy Instagram post, Brooklyn claimed his family had ‘controlled narratives’ and perpetuated ‘countless lies’ to ‘preserve their own façade’ – with ‘Brand Beckham’ always the priority.
But the chef said tensions reached breaking point when Victoria, who first rose to fame as Posh Spice and now owns a hugely successful fashion and beauty empire, ‘cancelled’ Nicola’s wedding dress at the eleventh hour, despite how excited Brooklyn’s wife had been to wear her design.
However, some fans questioned the accuracy of Brooklyn’s claims surrounding the dress, pointing to the fact that Nicola wore an elaborate Valentino Haute Couture gown that reportedly took years to design.
In a Vogue article published days after the couple’s April 2022 wedding, Nicola’s stylist Leslie Fremar revealed the dress required ‘years’ worth of conversations with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s team.
Fremar also said the bride made two trips to Rome and attended fittings in the US to ensure every detail was ‘immaculate’ on the big day.
