TikTok star Nara Smith is copping heat on social media after baking a batch of cookies and pairing it with… unpasteurised milk?
ICYMI, the influencer — known for her hushed voiceovers and uncanny ability to make anything (and I mean anything) from scratch — has been at the centre of much chatter on TikTok of late, thanks to a cooking clip in which she and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, whip up a sweat treat in the kitchen.
Setting aside the obvious commentary about Smith’s readiness to make the cinnamon cookies from scratch (seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if she harvested the cinnamon herself), TikTokers took particular note of a moment in the final seconds of the video.
After toiling away at the recipe instead of, I dunno, buying cookie dough and eating it uncooked like the rest of us, Smith complimented her cookies with a glass of raw milk.
“Even though I’m not a huge fan of cookies, these hit the spot with some cold, raw milk,” Smith said.
I’m sorry, huh? How does one even go about procuring raw milk? Do the Smiths have a pet cow? And who in their right mind is “not a huge fan” of cookies? I need answers!
Naturally, viewers flocked to the comments to express concern about the dangers of consuming unpasteurised milk, which poses a severe health risk as it can be contaminated with dangerous pathogens and lead to food-borne illnesses.

“You lost me at raw milk,” one viewer wrote, while another questioned whether Smith’s choice of drink was “rage bait”.
Elsewhere, TikTokers pointed out the added risk given that Smith is currently pregnant, meaning she runs the risk of contracting Listeria — a germ found in raw milk — which can in turn lead to miscarriages or illnesses in babies.
“Please don’t drink raw milk while pregnant,” one fan wrote. “Unpasteurised products are super dangerous for you and the baby.”
Other users agreed that “drinking raw milk while pregnant is actually unhinged”, or joked that Smith — who is known for her eyebrow-raising baby names like Rumble and Slim Easy (I’m not kidding) — is going to call her new kid “Listeria”.
While we don’t yet know the fate of Smith’s stomach after indulging in the risky beverage, it’s not the first time she has stirred up controversy like a straw in a glass of raw milk.
Last year, she came under fire for sharing a recipe for homemade sunscreen that dermatologists warned could actually cause sunburn, and before that, fellow creator Onezwa Mbola accused her of copying her videos and aesthetic.
Anyway, I’m off to pour myself a nice cold glass of (pasteurised, mind you) milk.
