Police release first images of Shedeur Sanders burglary suspects… with one still on the run

The four suspects accused of burgling Shedeur Sanders’ home – one of whom is still at large – have been pictured for the first time after three were taken into custody.

The Medina County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that three people have been arrested in connection with the raid at a property belonging to Cleveland Browns quarterback Sanders back in November.

During a news conference, the sheriff’s office identified the four suspects as Jarvet Myrick, Deandrez Jackson, Maurice Exavier Taylor and Carlos Deanthony Morris.

Myrick was arrested on November 26, Jackson on December 16 and Taylor on December 29, but Morris is still on the run with a warrant our for his arrest.

All four are facing second-degree felony burglary charges after allegedly ransacking Sanders’ home while he made his NFL debut for Cleveland against the Baltimore Ravens.

According to Detective Rodney Rees, the head investigator, the suspects used a stolen rental car from Atlanta before driving to Ohio and staying at a hotel in Medina Township prior to the alleged burglary.

Security footage from inside the property captured three men entering the home, while they were also seen on a neighbor’s security camera.

While they were only in the property for 12 minutes, it is believed the burglars took designer tote bags and other high-priced items worth around $200,000 from Sanders’ house, which haven’t been recovered.

The Medina County Sheriff’s Office worked with investigators in Georgia before the trio were arrested in that state following an investigation in Ohio. They remain in custody and are set to be extradited to Ohio to face charges.

‘They target high-end individuals who have a lot of money, and they go to their houses, they break in, and they take anything of value, and they go and sell it,’ Rees said. ‘They’re violent. We’ve cooperated with Brookhaven Police Department where they broke into another house down there that next morning when they returned back to Georgia. They’re indicted on that one as well.

‘They’re part of two burglaries we know of and possibly a third one where they were seen running away with guns in their hands.’

Speaking in late December, Sanders made light of his situation but said that he lost a lot of personal items due to the break-in.

‘I really love gifts, I don’t think for ChristmasI got much,’ Sanders said. ‘If anybody out there wants to send me gifts, I’ll put my PO Box online.

‘Please send clothes, jewelry, bags. All my bags got stolen when my house got robbed,’ Sanders said on December 28, after the Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-6.
