
The Ministry of Health and Population organized a dialogue session entitled “Youth Health Programme: Investing in Youth for Development” on the sidelines of the third edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC25), under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, under the slogan “Empowering Individuals, Promoting Progress, Providing Opportunities,” during the period from November 12 to 15, 2025 in the Administrative Capital.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that the session discussed Egypt’s leadership in youth health, equality, and community participation, with a focus on preventive care, in addition to reviewing the government’s actions, the impact of care over five years (access, behavioral results, lessons learned), and the role of the Egyptian leadership in placing youth at the heart of the national agenda through initiatives and strategies, stressing that they create Egypt’s strength and solidity. Today, not just future leaders.
He stressed the company’s commitment to youth health and leadership, and partnerships with UNICEF to empower them and strengthen the systems that influence their lives. Emphasize shared responsibility with organizations and young people themselves, focusing on the daily environments in which they live, in the belief that sustainable change comes from those directly involved. He also highlighted the partnership with the company through the “Youth for Health” program.
Abdul Ghaffar noted: The Ministry shifted from treating patients to building a strategy for a healthy life, based on the World Health Organization’s definition of health as “physical, psychological and emotional well-being”, which prompted the development of specific strategies to achieve the goals, as the strategies began from the moment a family was formed through pre-marital examinations (presidential initiative), then initiatives to screen women and children from birth through all age stages, in addition to oncology initiatives, with great attention to mental health to achieve health. Integrated.
