President Sisi receives a phone call from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the British Prime Minister began the call by congratulating the President on the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, noting that it is a great civilizational edifice that reflects the history and culture of Egypt. 

 

The call addressed the current position of bilateral relations between Egypt and the United Kingdom, The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the development witnessed by the level of cooperation between the two countries in various political, economic, commercial and investment fields.

 

It was also stressed, during the call, the necessity of continuing to improve various aspects of bilateral relations in a way that achieves the common interest of the two countries and the Egyptian and British peoples. The two sides also expressed their keenness to continue developing cooperation relations in the field of development and trade. And investment. And calm the situation in the Gaza Strip, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, and quickly begin the reconstruction process. 

 

In the same context, the British Prime Minister stressed the necessity of introducing humanitarian aid in sufficient quantities to the people of the Gaza Strip, and taking all necessary measures in this regard, including seeking to encourage more international humanitarian relief organizations to work for this purpose.

 

The official spokesman explained that the call also addressed developments. The situation in brotherly Sudan, where the importance of intensifying efforts to stop the war and achieve stability in Sudan was stressed, and the two sides also agreed to enhance coordination between them in order to achieve calm and stability in the region.
