Sunday.. "Islamic research" The 14th Advocacy Week is being organized at Assiut University under the title: "Civilizational concepts"

The Islamic Research Academy will organize, next Sunday, the activities of the fourteenth week of Islamic Da’wah, which is held by the Supreme Committee for Da’wah at Assiut University under the title: “Civilizational Concepts” under the generous patronage of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Jundi, Secretary-General. For the Islamic Research Academy.

 

 

Dr. Muhammad al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, said: The holding of this preaching week comes as a continuation of the efforts of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in enhancing the awareness of university youth, clarifying the correct concepts of religion, and linking them to contemporary civilizational reality, noting that the series of preaching weeks represents a platform An intellectual event that brings together Al-Azhar scholars and university youth, and opens a direct dialogue on issues of humanity, society, and civilization.

He explained that the objectives of this week combine to provide a comprehensive vision of the concept of civilization from an authentic Islamic perspective. By demonstrating the close relationship between religion and civilization, and shedding light on the cultural values and concepts established by the Holy Qur’an and the purified Sunnah of the Prophet, while highlighting the role of Islam in building man and reconstructing the earth, and correcting the misconceptions spread among young people about religion, life, and society. The program also seeks to protect minds from deviant thought and extremist and atheistic trends, and to deepen belonging. National mission by highlighting the integration of religion and nation in the project of building humanity, in addition to promoting moral and behavioral values derived from the tolerant teachings of Islam, and developing the spirit of conscious dialogue in dealing with contemporary religious and intellectual issues.

 

For his part, Dr. Hassan Yahya, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Da’wah, indicated that the activities of the Da’wah Week It will open with a symposium entitled: (Religion is the Source of Civilization), in which Dr. Muhammad al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, and Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Malik, Vice President of Al-Azhar University of Upper Egypt, will lecture, explaining that the symposium will address a number of important topics that highlight the essence of the relationship between religion and civilization, most notably: interaction, not collision, and reconstruction, not sabotage, by reading An in-depth study of the dialectical relationship between religious text and material achievement, in addition to discussing the concept of Islamic civilization as a human project that combines faith landmarks and moral values that elevate the human being and push him towards construction and innovation.

 

The activities of the Da’wah Week continue over five days with the participation of the scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, during which the seminars are varied. Intellectual research that sheds light on the features of the civilizational personality in Islam in terms of structure and formation, and what is mentioned about it in the Holy Qur’an and the purified Sunnah of the Prophet, while reviewing bright examples of symbols of Islamic history. It also addresses the impact of values and morals on the emergence and survival of civilizations, and the importance of science as the engine of human progress, as well as the role of responsible freedom in unleashing The energies of creativity and renewal, and the status of human rights in Islamic law, are considered one of the pillars of urbanization and the preservation of human dignity.
