Taylor Zakhar Perez Teases ‘Red, White & Royal Blue 2’ Script Is “Really Good,” Hopes To Film In 2026

After officially getting the greenlight, Taylor Zakhar Perez hopes to get to work on the Red, White & Royal Blue sequel in 2026.
The actor recently revealed plans to reprise his role as Alex Claremont-Diaz for Red, White & Royal Wedding “in the new year,” teasing that he’s read the script by Gemma Burgess, Matthew López and the source material’s author, Casey McQuiston.
“There’s a huge appetite for the sequel so I’m looking forward to it,” he told AND! News earlier this month. “I read the script and it’s really good.”
When asked if he can share anything about the sequel, Perez said “nothing at all,” adding: “They will come for me. Amazon will find me.”
Last month, Deadline reported that Amazon MGM Studios has officially greenlit the sequel, with Jamie Babbit taking over for director López from the original 2023 adaptation.
