Teen girl found dead in D4vd’s Tesla is laid to rest in secret funeral… amid criticism over investigation

Celeste Rivas, the teen girl who was found dead in a Tesla belonging to the singer D4vd, was laid to rest on Monday.
Rivas, who was only 14 when her body was discovered dismembered and in a state of advanced decay, was surrounded by family and friends at Queen of Heaven Cemetery & Mortuary in Rowland Heights, California.
Her casket was seen being carried by mourners at the funeral service, which was held in a white tent on the cemetery lawn, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
The family appeared to be trying to keep the funeral as secret as possible by shielding it from view in the tent.
Mourners dressed in all black were seen with pained expressions and faces lowered as they carried Celeste’s gleaming white casket while dressed in somber all-black.
Rivas’ case has chilled communities through Los Angeles after her body was discovered in D4vd’s front Tesla trunk after the car had been left abandoned near a Hollywood Hills home that the singer (real name: David Anthony Burke) had been renting.

It was only later when the vehicle was impounded that police were called after a tow yard worker noticed a disturbing odor emanating from the Tesla.
Late last month, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that Rivas had likely been ‘dead for several weeks’ by the time her body was discovered.
The seemingly slow progress of the case and the sparse drip of information about Rivas’ death has led to criticism of the police investigation throughout LA.
Amid the opaque investigation, D4vd has remained silent about any potential connection to the victim discovered in his car.
The singer reportedly broke his $20,000 lease and moved out from the Hollywood Hills home that his Tesla had been parked near, which had been searched by police.
D4vd has tried to stay out of the public eye, and he went on to cancel his planned touring schedule and delay the release of an expanded deluxe edition of his album Withered, which was originally released in April.
However, D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, recently spoke out to deny any involvement on his part in Rivas’ death.
Marshall, who owns the record label and media company Mogul Vision, responded to a poster on TikTok who claimed without evidence that he was involved in the case.

Late last month, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that Rivas (pictured) had likely been ‘dead for several weeks’ by the time her body was discovered.
‘how dare you say something like this with no facts,’ Marshall replied. ‘This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.
‘This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children. I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full-time at home with my wife and kids.’
Marshall also denied having ever lived in the home rented out by D4vd.
Rivas’ whereabouts in the months before her death have also raised significant questions.
She was reported missing back in May 2024, when she was 13 years old, but the timeline was complicated when a video emerged that was shot on September 8, 2024.
The clip, which was obtained by TMZ, appears to show Rivas shouting and hurling abuse at her neighbors for allegedly ding-dong ditching her parents’ home.
Police haven’t yet said if they were aware that Rivas may have returned to her family’s home after she was initially reported missing.
