The Danish Foreign Minister confirms the depth of strategic relations with Egypt

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark, Lars Løkka Rasmussen, stressed the depth of the strategic relations between Denmark and Egypt, pointing out the importance of strengthening the economic and commercial dimension of this close partnership. 

This came during the visit made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark today, Monday, as part of his official visit to Egypt today, to the headquarters of the Danish company Aller Aqua in Egypt, which specializes in the production of agricultural feed. Fish farming.

 

The visit highlighted Denmark’s leading position in the field of sustainable fish farming and its role in supporting food security in Egypt and improving the investment climate.

The visit included a short tour of the company’s modern production and logistics facilities in Egypt, where Minister Rasmussen listened to a presentation about the company’s operations and quality control system on site, in addition to its contribution to the value chain of the fish farming sector in the local market. The tour showed how Aller Aqua uses Danish technology, expertise, and sustainable best practices to support the growth of the aquaculture sector in Egypt.

 

Following the tour, Minister Rasmussen participated in a discussion on the role of the Egyptian-Danish Business Council “EDBC”, an initiative aimed at strengthening commercial, industrial and technological cooperation between the two countries.

 

During the meeting, the Minister congratulated Mr. Hussein. Mansour, CEO of Aller Aqua and the new Chairman of the Egyptian-Danish Business Council, for assuming this position and his role in strengthening economic relations between Denmark and Egypt. 

The Minister also stressed the great potential that Denmark possesses in the field of fish farming  From advanced fish nutrition solutions to sustainable farm management to support Egypt’s plan for growth in this vital sector. In his speech, Minister Lars Lakka Rasmussen said: “Denmark is proud to cooperate with Egypt in building a sustainable fish farming sector. Through the experience of Danish companies such as Aller Aqua, and the framework provided by the Egyptian-Danish Business Council, we see promising opportunities to exchange knowledge, attract investments and achieve joint growth.”

 

For his part, Hussein Mansour said: “We are proud of Minister Rasmussen’s visit to our company’s headquarters in Egypt.” He added that this visit reflects the strength of the partnership between Denmark and Egypt and represents the beginning of a new chapter of cooperation in the field of Fish farming. 

 

He explained that, through the Egyptian-Danish Business Council, we aim to transfer Danish innovation to local Egyptian agriculture and build partnerships that serve the interests of both countries.
