The Governor of Giza participates in the conference launching the National Strategy for Urbanism and Green Building

Engineer Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza, participated in the conference launching the National Strategy for Urbanism and Green Building, which was organized by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities within the framework of the Egyptian state’s efforts towards promoting the concept of sustainable urban development and adopting a green building approach in a way that supports the achievement of Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable development, and contributes to the development of Egyptian cities, raising the quality of life for citizens, and improving the efficiency of resource use.

The conference was attended by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, Alaa El-Din Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, Dr. Ahmed Fouad, Minister of Culture, Counselor Adnan Fangri, Minister of Justice, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo. And a number of executive leaders and experts.

Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, confirmed that the governorate’s participation in this conference comes from its keenness to support the state’s trends towards sustainable urban development and the application of green building standards in the projects being implemented in the governorate, noting that Giza is currently witnessing the implementation of a number of projects that aim to raise the efficiency of infrastructure and improve the urban and urban environment in keeping with development requirements. Modern.

The governor added that the national strategy for urbanism and green building represents an important step towards achieving integrated and sustainable urban development that supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 and contributes to building cities that are more flexible and efficient in managing resources, and improving the quality of life for citizens.

It is noteworthy that the launch of the strategy aims to develop a comprehensive national framework for sustainable urban planning and apply green building standards in Egyptian cities in a way that enhances their flexibility in facing environmental and climate challenges, and supports the transition towards more sustainable and efficient cities.
