The House of Representatives discusses a law establishing Egypt’s Sovereign Fund for Investment and Development

On Monday, the House of Representatives will discuss the manufactures on its agenda, as it discusses the draft law submitted by the government amending some provisions of Law No. 177 of 2018 establishing Egypt’s Sovereign Fund for Investment and Development
The draft law aims to grant the Prime Minister discretionary authority to determine the competent minister in the field of implementing the provisions of this law in light of the amendments that took place to the competencies of the various ministries. The draft law also included transferring the Fund’s affiliation to the Council of Ministers to ensure periodic follow-up on the Fund’s work and what is accomplished. Of tasks in accordance with the competencies assigned to the Fund specified in the aforementioned law, in light of the Fund’s role in contributing to sustainable economic development.
The Council is also witnessing a review of the statement of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health, regarding plans And the policies of the Ministry of Health during the coming period; He highlighted the most prominent challenges and opportunities facing the health sector, and the strategies adopted to improve the level of medical services and the rates of implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system, in a session on Monday, October 7)
The Council will also witness on Tuesday a review of the statement of Mr. Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Development. Industrial and the Minister of the Ministries of Transport and Industry, regarding the Ministry of Industry’s plans and strategies for developing industrial infrastructure, deepening local manufacturing, providing job opportunities, and enhancing partnership with the private sector
As witnessed by the consideration of a number of international agreements on grants, which were received from the government during Parliamentary leave.
