The Minister of Development follows up on the system of spatial variables in the governorates with the Assistant Secretaries-General

Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, held a meeting today via video conference with all the assistant general secretaries in the governorates of the Republic, from the headquarters of the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network, in the presence of Dr. Saeed Helmy, Head of the Strategic Management and Local Development Sector, Chairman of the ministerial committee formed by decision of the Minister and members of the committee, which is concerned with following up on the system of spatial variables, codification, and technological centers.
During the meeting, the Minister of Local Development stressed the importance of daily monitoring of the system of spatial variables to address Illegal variables and violating construction and removing them in the cradle.
Dr. Manal Awad, all the assistant general secretaries in the governorates, will periodically follow up on this file and consider it one of the basic files in the daily work system, especially after the issuance of the governors’ decisions to form a committee headed by them for this, which includes the directors of spatial variables, the engineering and planning departments, information infrastructure and property, and the various concerned authorities and directorates at the level of each governorate.
The Minister of Local Development stressed the importance of reviewing and responding to the points of recent spatial variables no later than the latest. 72 hours from the date of monitoring the variable and the results and procedures that were taken to quickly remove the variables, noting that the variables system in the governorates monitors any building violation, or encroachment on agricultural lands in its infancy, and the Minister of Local Development stressed the need for immediate coordination between the governorate and the concerned authorities to remove any violation that is monitored.
During the meeting, the Minister of Local Development reviewed the position of the spatial variables system’s outputs and the responses to them, Pointing out that the Ministry of Local Development is following up on all the measures taken by the governorates to address illegal spatial changes, within the framework of the Prime Minister’s mandates regarding intensifying the state’s efforts to confront the phenomenon of illegal construction and encroachment on agricultural lands and state property by intensifying campaigns in the governorates and dealing with violations firmly and decisively.
Dr. Manal Awad also indicated that the ministry will evaluate all assistant secretaries-generals starting this month of December. For their efforts in confronting any illegal spatial variables that have been monitored, the Minister of Local Development directed the necessity of a field visit to the heads of cities, centers, and neighborhoods throughout the scope of their work to follow up on the ground, monitor any illegal variables, remove them, and take the necessary legal measures against violators.
The Minister of Local Development explained that the ministerial committee formed in this regard will carry out a field visit to the governorates according to the system’s numbers to enhance the mechanisms of monitoring, immediate accounting, and dealing with spatial variables. And to confront the phenomenon of illegal construction, and the necessary administrative measures will be taken against all employees who are negligent in their work in this file and hold them accountable, which was done during the recent period by referral to the Public Prosecution and the Administrative Prosecution in a number of governorates.
The Minister of Local Development concluded the meeting by emphasizing the necessity of facilitating and facilitating citizens with regard to obtaining building permits and daily follow-up of this file to overcome any obstacles facing citizens due to some decisions of workers in that system.
