The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration receives Mrs. Ghada and to the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

Minister Abdel -Ati expressed his sincere appreciation to Mrs. Ghada Wali and her pivotal role in enhancing the status of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime as an international umbrella to combat crime, cross -border crime, human trafficking, money laundering, and combating terrorism, as well as developing drug prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs, pointing out that she represented Egypt and the Arab world in this high international position with great ability It was a strong voice of developmental and humanitarian issues, and a honorable model for Arab women in global decision -making circles. Which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2024, noting that the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, is scheduled to host the signing ceremony for the agreement on October 25, 2025 in the presence of the Secretary -General of the United Nations, and called Egypt to participate in a high -level delegation in the signing ceremony. Negotiating the text of the agreement, as Egypt was the vice president of the work group concerned with drafting the agreement. The hosting of Egypt was also discussed in the capacity -building center for African countries in combating captivity crime. The lady also dealt with the efforts of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in the fight against illegal immigration and the numerous projects that the organization undertakes to combat this phenomenon in the North Africa region, noting in this regard to the existing cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and Justice, the Public Prosecutor and the Administrative Control Authority, noting the funding received by the United Nations Office from the European Union to support immigration projects other than Legitimacy. In this regard, she appreciated the role that Egypt plays in the CCPCJ Criminal Prevention Committee and hosted by the regional experts working group to combat the smuggling of antiquities in October 2025.
