The Minister of Health receives Egypt’s destruction certificate on human malaria from the World Health Organization

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received from Dr. Tadros Adhanum, Director General of the World Health Organization, a certificate of Egypt’s judiciary on the transfer of all human malaria parasites, within the borders of the country. For international standards, on the sidelines of the activities of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly in the Swiss city of Geneva. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that this testimony reflects the commitment of the Egyptian state to achieve health security for citizens, and the success of the national strategy to combat infectious diseases, which depends on scientific foundations, system of effective monitoring and highly efficient health services.

& nbsp; That Egypt’s obtaining this certificate is the fruit of a joint cooperation between the Ministry of Health and all the concerned authorities, noting that Egypt has not recorded any local case for malaria for many years, thanks to the progress achieved in the areas of prevention, early detection, and the quick response to any expatriate cases. This testimony is a strong incentive to move forward in enhancing the capabilities of the health system, in order to achieve a vision of & laquo; Egypt 2030 & raquo; In the field of sustainable development, noting that the ministry continues to take preventive measures and enhance monitoring and follow -up programs to ensure the sustainability of this success and maintain Egypt’s absence from the disease.
