The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities continues his professional meetings during his current visit to the British capital, London, and meets with a number of major tour operators in the targeted markets.

 

During his current visit to the British capital, London, Wasel Sharif Fathi The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities held his professional meetings, where he met with the heads and officials of a number of major tour operators from the targeted markets, including the   Italian Alpi Tour World, one of the most important European groups operating in the tourism industry, and the TUI International Group, which is one of the largest tour operators in the world and one of the largest airlines transporting inbound tourist traffic to Egypt, and the tour operator Odeon Tours, and their accompanying delegations.

These meetings were attended by Ambassador Sherif Kamel, Egypt’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Mr. Amr El-Qadi, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and Mr. Mohamed Mohsen, supervisor of the tourist office in London and its affiliated markets, and the financial supervisor. On the Chinese market and its affiliated markets, and Mr. Ahmed Nabil, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Aviation and Follow-up.

 

The Minister began these meetings by emphasizing the importance of working to develop the tourist movement arriving at the destination. Egyptian tourism is one of the traditional markets as well as the new and promising ones, pointing out that the Ministry’s promotional policy during the coming period depends more on electronic marketing through various social networking sites, which contributes to targeting more and different segments of the targeted countries.

 

The Minister’s meeting with the Alpi Tour World group discussed linking and integrating beach tourism and cultural tourism producers, through organizing tourism programs that combine Hurghada, Luxor, the northern coast, and Siwa.  

 

The group’s officials also explained that there is an increase in the volume of reservations for the Egyptian tourist destination from the target markets.

 

< p>TUI Group officials confirmed that the Egyptian tourist destination is one of the five most important tourist markets in which the group operates, and that the group’s statistics indicate that the group will attract one million tourists to Egypt during the current year. They will also launch and operate a new floating hotel for the group on the Nile during the current month.
