The Prime Minister reviews the investment opportunities available in the tourism and construction sector
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To review the investment opportunities available in the tourism and construction sector, in the presence of Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, Amr Attia, President of the Holding Company for Tourism and Hotels, and Engineer Mostafa El-Kady, CEO of Emaar Misr Development Company.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to pay attention to the optimal exploitation, development and maximization of the state’s assets, especially in the tourism sector. With the aim of increasing hotel rooms and doubling the number of tourists.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said: Our goal in this meeting is to review investment opportunities in this sector, adding: We encourage partnership with the private sector, in accordance with the state ownership policy document; With the aim of pumping investments to develop these assets and achieving optimal governance management for them. In light of this, the Minister of Public Business Sector explained that the Ministry attaches great importance to maximizing the benefit of its assets, developing them and investing them in an optimal manner in order to achieve significant economic and tourism returns for the state.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the investment opportunities in the tourism and construction sector, where he discussed the assets that can be exploited in hotel projects, and the investment opportunities available in companies affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector in this sector, which include the Cosmo Politan Building, affiliated with the “Egoth” company, as it is characterized by distinctive and unique architectural details of increasing historical and cultural value, which provides A point of attraction and marketing that is unmatched by modern hotels. In addition to the Shimla Building, owned by the “Sidnawi and Manufactures Sales” Company, it is distinguished by its strategic location in the heart of Khedival Cairo, which allows it to be converted into a hotel and hotel apartments.
Engineer Mohamed Shimi continued the presentation of investment opportunities, explaining that it also includes the Omar Effendi Building on Abdel Aziz Street, which is characterized by a distinguished location in the center of Khedive Cairo, which is being revived to return it to its previous state. Regarding the investment opportunities available in land, the Minister pointed out the availability of a number of land plots, including the Carnelia Beach project in Marsa Alam, Red Sea Governorate; The total area of which is about 386 thousand square meters, completely overlooking a beach approximately 1,000 meters long, pointing out that the first phase of about 90 thousand square meters is being developed, in addition to land behind the Constitutional Court on Maadi Corniche, and Farouk Corniche land located on Helwan Corniche, in addition to " Capital View" Located on the upper plateau in the Mokattam area, next to “Holiopolis City”. In the city of New Heliopolis, as well as Aga Khan land on the Nile Corniche in Shubra.
The Minister of Public Business Sector stated that the Ministry has already presented these available investment opportunities to a number of Egyptian and non-Egyptian investors, within the framework of a promotion plan to attract investment partnerships with the private sector.
