The Youth Coordination Operations Room continues to follow up on the runoff round for the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections

The Youth Parties and Politicians Coordination Operations Room continues to follow the events of the second day in the runoff  For the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections, monitoring the regularity of the electoral process, and continuous communication to follow up on the progress of voting within the various committees.

 

The runoff round for the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections will be held over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, December 17 and 18, in which 202 candidates compete for 101 seats in 55 districts within 13 governorates.

The runoff round includes For the second phase, there are 55 districts, including Dakahlia Governorate: redundancy of all its districts, numbering 10 districts, Gharbia Governorate: redundancy of all of its districts, numbering 7 districts, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate: redundancy of all of its districts, numbering 4 districts, Menoufia Governorate: redundancy of all of its districts, numbering 6 districts, Qalyubia Governorate: redundancy of 5 of its 6 districts, and Sharkia Governorate: redundancy of 8 districts. Out of 9, Cairo Governorate: redundancy in 7 constituencies out of 19, Damietta Governorate: redundancy in one district, in addition to Port Said Governorate: redundancy in one district, Ismailia Governorate: redundancy in 3 constituencies, Suez Governorate: redundancy in one district, North Sinai Governorate: redundancy in one district, and South Sinai Governorate: redundancy in one district.

It includes voting controls for Egyptians abroad in accordance with the decision. The National Elections Authority: Voting shall be by direct public secret ballot, and every voter must exercise this right himself. Only the national ID card or a valid passport containing the national ID can be accepted as proof of the voter’s identity, and casting the vote shall be at the consulate headquarters, the diplomatic mission, or any of the locations designated by a decision from the National Elections Authority based on the nomination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

 The committees are formed to supervise the voting work. And the counting and numerical counting of the votes, from a sufficient number of members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and they are assisted by one or more of the original secretaries working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who shall be appointed by a decision from the National Elections Commission. If, upon the expiration of the deadline, voters are found in the Election Assembly who have not cast their votes, the Chairman of the Committee shall draw up a list of their names, and the election process shall continue until the completion of expressing their opinions.
