Trade unionists from 90 countries organize a solidarity stand in Paris to stop the war on Gaza

In response to the request of the Egyptian labor delegation participating in the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the World Trade Union Confederation in the French capital, Paris, the participants representing workers in 90 countries around the world held a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, in which they expressed their rejection of the Israeli aggression on “Gaza,” and demanded the necessity of respecting UN resolutions to stop… aggression and the continued provision of support and aid to the Palestinian people.

This was stated by Abd al-Rahman Abd al-Ghani, President of the General Union of Workers in Engineering and Metal Industries, following his return, yesterday, from France.

 He said that the participating delegations praised, in their interventions, the efforts made by Egypt to end the conflict and the historical positions of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, which emphasize Cohesion between peoples and Egypt’s historic commitment towards the Palestinian cause and the establishment of its independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

For his part, Ashraf Al-Dokar, President of the General Union of Land Transport and Secretary-General of the Arab Union of Transport Workers, in his speech, thanked union delegations around the world for holding the solidarity stand headed by Pampis Christenias, Secretary General of the World Confederation of Trade Unions. He said we are celebrating the 80th anniversary. For establishing our union in 1945 in the French capital, we must thank President Macron for his sincere efforts to stop the war of extermination in “Gaza”. And providing aid and assistance to the people of Palestine, appreciating the role played by most countries of the world in achieving peace and establishing the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Egyptian union delegation included: Magdy Al-Badawi, President of the General Union of Press, Printing and Media, Khaled Aish, President of the General Union of Food Industries, and Hisham Fouad, President of the General Union of Utilities Workers. General.
