Trump appalls MAGA as he targets GOP rebel Massie over re-marrying 16 months after losing wife of 31 years: ‘Below the belt’

Donald Trump has sparked outrage after targeting GOP rebel Thomas Massie over his new wife after he re-married 16 months after losing his wife of 31 years.
The Kentucky lawmaker, 54, who has led the charge for the government to release the Epstein files, came on the receiving end of Trump’s fury on Friday night.
Just moments before he announced he was breaking up with Marjorie Taylor Greene, Trump penned an astonishingly personal broadside mocking Massie, 54, and his 36-year-old wife Carolyn Grace Moffa. It sparked an immediate backlash.
‘Did Thomas Massie, sometimes referred to as Rand Paul Jr., because of the fact that he always votes against the Republican Party, get married already??? Boy, that was quick!’ the president wrote.
‘No wonder the Polls have him at less than an 8% chance of winning the Election,’ he added. ‘Anyway, have a great life Thomas and (?). His wife will soon find out that she’s stuck with a LOSER!’
His comments come less than two weeks after Massie and Moffa married in Pennsylvania, a ceremony held a year after Massie lost his wife, Rhonda – mother of their four children.
One user on X responded: ‘This is so far beyond politics … Mocking someone that got a 2nd chance after losing all that. F*** this guy.’
Another said: ‘Thomas Massie was married to the same woman for like 30 years till she DIED. Trump on the other hand is twice divorced – that’s two failed marriages. Then he criticizes Massie for getting remarried 1.5 years after his wife died? Trump is sleazy, and he’s a big hypocrite.’

Trump has continued to blast former allies in Congress, including Massie, as tensions rose following Democrats’ release of subpoenaed emails from Epstein’s estate that explicitly reference the president
During a Friday interview, Massie said the administration is resisting the release to shield the president’s allies from embarrassment
A third account wrote: ‘Regardless how you feel about Massie, this was really below the belt.’
The president’s public outbursts are exposing growing rifts in the MAGA movement after the discharge petition to release the files secured backing from prominent Trump allies Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace.
Trump’s pledge to personally release the Epstein files, which aided his November White House comeback, lies at the heart of the controversy. Its unfulfilled promise has led Republicans and Democrats alike to call for transparency, alleging a cover-up.
During a Friday interview with a Cincinnati radio station, Massie said the administration is resisting the release to shield the president’s allies from embarrassment.
‘They’ll claim privately they’re trying to avoid embarrassment for some of the president’s friends. And they’ll say that privately. They won’t say that publicly,’ Massie said, as reported by Newsweek.
‘But I don’t think embarrassment is a good reason, like saving somebody from embarrassment is a god reason to protect dozens of men who preyed on underage women in a sex trafficking operation,’ he added.
Trump and Greene also traded sharp barbs on social media Friday, a feud that has continued today.
The president – who has long said he cut Epstein off decades ago and did nothing wrong – explosively announced he was ‘unendorsing’ the Georgia Republican, accusing her of becoming ‘left wing.’
He laid out the pair’s dirty laundry – including an admission that he advised her not to run for Senate in 2026 – in a lengthy post to Truth Social.

Trump announced he was ‘unendorsing’ Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene
Greene replied with a detailed statement and a text message from Trump, which she claims show his actions were tied to her vote on the Epstein files
‘I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of “Congresswoman” Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia,’ he wrote.
Trump then listed the accomplishments of his nine months in office before alleging that ‘all I see “Wacky” Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!’
He wrote: ‘It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she was at 12%, and didn’t have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement – which she wasn’t about to get!)’
Trump said that because he refused to endorse her ambitions, he doesn’t return her calls, calling her ‘a ranting lunatic’ whose calls he can’t take every day.
Within an hour, Greene replied with a detailed statement and a text message from Trump, which she claims show his actions were tied to her vote on the Epstein files.
‘President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files,’ Greene wrote.
On Saturday morning, Greene shared a measured statement, prompting Trump to respond by mocking her as ‘Marjorie Taylor Brown,’ adding, ‘Green grass turns Brown when it begins to ROT!’
In a follow up post, he also labelled her ‘Marjorie Traitor Greene’, after saying she ‘betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left.’
Trump added: ‘Just another Fake politician, no different than Rand Paul Jr. (Thomas Massie), who got caught being a full fledged Republican In Name Only (RINO)! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!’
