The General Authority of Meteorology issued an urgent weather warning for Alexandria Governorate, warning of the continued influx of thunderstorms hitting various areas of the governorate.
Meteorology expected moderate rain, which may turn to heavy at times, in some areas, declaring that the peak of this weather condition will occur as time progresses and until the night hours, and it is expected to continue until tomorrow, Friday.
Violent weather phenomena Expected
Meteorology called on citizens to be extremely cautious, noting that the weather condition accompanying the rain includes violent phenomena, most notably strong lightning and thunder strikes that strike some areas, and strong downward winds that form beneath the thunderclouds, and lead to disruption in navigation and traffic, in addition to hailstones sometimes falling on some areas, which increases the severity of the impact on the roads. And crops.

In a related context, meteorology indicated that the governorates of El-Beheira and Kafr El-Sheikh will be on the verge of thunderstorms during the coming hours and as time progresses.
