Fancy A Space Adventure With Ryan Gosling? Win Tickets To See Him On the Big Screen In Project Hail Mary
A book nerd, a sci-fi enjoyer and a Ryan Gosling fan walk into a bar — except it’s actually a movie cinema, and they’re all watching the newest box-office blockbuster: Project Hail Mary.
Now that I’ve got your attention with that horrible joke format, let me introduce you to the real gold of this article: the chance to win one of ten double passes to see Ryan Gosling on the big screen in Project Hail Mary.
Afterall, you can never get enough of Hollywood’s favourite Ryan.
What is Project Hail Mary?
Based on the award-winning namesake novel by Andy Weir (the same genius mind behind The Martian), this epic space adventure is sure to have you on the edge of your seat.
Set to the premise of ‘two worlds one impossible mission’, the film opens up with former school teacher, Ryland Grace (Gosling), waking up from a coma with an inconvenient case of amnesia. Except he’s not in a hospital bed, but several light-years away from Earth, on a space voyage mission to solve the planet’s impending doom à la heat death.
Oh yeah, and the rest of the crew is mysteriously dead too.
It turns out something is causing stars, including our sun, to die, and only one star may hold the key to saving humanity. In his mission to reach the living star and find out how to save Earth, Ryland teams up with a crab-like alien he names Rocky (voiced by James Ortiz), whose planet’s star is also on the brink of death. That’s right: this space movie becomes a tale of unlikely, intergalactic friendship.
Project Hail Mary shows Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling at his absolute best, mixing action with humour in the way only he can. If you were a fan of The Martian’s pragmatic biologist Mark Watney (Matt Damon) as he figured out how to stay alive on a barren planet, you’ll be racing to the cinemas to see Gosling figure out how to reclaim his memories, man a space flight solo, and save the entire future of the human race.
How can I win these double passes?
Glad you asked, ‘cos it’s actually real simple.
