During the visit, he welcomed Muhammad Abdel Latif greeted Her Highness Princess Akiko and the Japanese delegation accompanying her, stressing the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Japan, and praising the great support provided by the Japanese government through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in developing the Egyptian education system and transferring Japanese expertise in school administration and developing students’ skills.
During the tour, Princess Akiko listened accompanied by Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif gave a detailed explanation of the education system within the Egyptian-Japanese School. They also inspected a number of classrooms, where they interacted with the students and discussed with them the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

As Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, Her Highness Princess Akiko, the President of JICA, and the Japanese Ambassador took souvenir photos with the students who wore the Pharaonic costume, members of the Japanese delegation, faculty members, and the school administration, amid an atmosphere full of friendliness and admiration for the shared educational experience.
The Egyptian-Japanese School in Nasr City is one of the 69 schools in the Republic that applies the Japanese education system and tokatsu activities and focuses on building character and understanding and reflects close and strategic cooperation.
