Zahi Hawass: The Grand Egyptian Museum is a giant cultural institution that contains many museums

Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass confirmed that the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum shows the modern face of Egypt with its interest in its antiquities and the genius of the ancient Egyptian by displaying the wonderful antiquities, noting that it is considered a giant cultural institution because it contains many museums inside it.

 

Hawass said in an exclusive statement to the Egyptian TV Channel One, today, Saturday that the Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest museum in the world, pointing out that “There is no museum in the world that has received the global and international attention that the Grand Egyptian Museum has received.”

 

The Egyptian archaeologist added that the area of the Grand Egyptian Museum is larger than the Louvre Museum with about 130 thousand cubic meters and the Metropolitan Museum of Art with about 330 thousand cubic meters, and it is considered the largest museum in the world.

 

He pointed out that the most important thing on display in the Grand Egyptian Museum All antiquities of King Tutankhamun Or the so-called “Golden Pharaoh,” explaining that the whole world is waiting to see the antiquities of Tutankhamun, especially the artifacts that are displayed for the first time inside the museum.
