Zara and Mike Tindall are all smiles Down Under as they rub shoulders with Prince Harry’s best friend Nacho Figueras at Australian showjumping and polo event

Zara and Mike Tindall are all smiles down under as they attend a polo and showjumping event in Australia alongside Prince Harry’s best friend Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras.

Zara, 44, who is 22nd in line to the British throne, was spotted talking to the Argentinian polo player and his wife Delfina Blaquier during the Magic Millions Carnival in Queensland.

A vocal supporter of the Sussexes, Nacho is said to have been friends with the Duke since 2007.

The pair have been pictured playing alongside each other, and against each other, in charity polo matches for over a decade.

As a mark of their friendship, Nacho – dubbed the ‘David Beckham of polo’ – was among a handful of confidante’s who featured in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary in 2022.

He recalled how Prince Harry met him and his wife for dinner shortly after he met Meghan Markle in 2017.

‘He looked at us and said: “Guys, I met a girl, we’ve just met but I think this might be the one.” You could tell right away that those eyes were those of someone who’d fallen in love.’

More recently, his wife Delfina appeared on the Netflix series With Love, Meghan where she helped the Duchess of Sussex bake homemade focaccia.

Despite his close connection to the Sussexes, Nacho is said to be on good terms with the Tindalls – and that is evident from the pictures taken at the Magic Millions event.

Shading herself from the scorching sun, Zara looks deep in conversation with both Nacho and Delfine.

The daughter of Princess Anne certainly dressed for the 30 degree weather in a £615 Nemy mini dress from Australian designer Rebecca Vallance.

To match the silver embellishments on the navy dress, Zara completed her race day look with a sparkling clutch, diamond bangle and metallic heels.

It is unsurprising that Zara has chosen to wear Rebecca Vallance for race day as the Australian designer has become somewhat of a staple in the royal’s wardrobe.

Zara wore a black mini dress by the designer in November to support her cousin Prince William at the annual Tusk Conservation Awards.

She has also worn and recycled Rebecca Vallance for outings at the Royal Ascot and on the red carpet at The Beauty Awards in November 2025.

‘We formed a particularly special bond with Zara Tindall, as well as Princess Beatrice, through their stylists initially,’ Rebecca told Australia’s Who Magazine in June 2025.

‘I can’t pinpoint exactly how and when these relationships began, but we have been dressing Zara Tindall for quite some time.’

Standing by her side was former English rugby union player Mike who looked dashing in a navy suit and cream trousers paired with brown suede shoes.

In a video shared by Magic Millions, Mike said the ‘first thing’ he planned to do after arriving in the Gold Coast was to head down to Main Beach and ‘get[ting] in that water’.

The Tindalls have a long and heartwarming history with the country, having first met in Sydney more than two decades ago in 2003 during the Rugby World Cup.

‘We have always loved Australia and it is like a home from home for us. We have been coming to Queensland for so long now it has become a tradition for the start of the year,’ Zara previously told HELLO! Magazine.

‘[We love] coming out of the cold winter and into the warm heat, and the incredible water temperatures. The Gold Coast is just a great place to be – it’s got a bit of everything, from beaches to horses and everything else in between.’
