Yemeni Ministry of Information: The Houthi war led to the division of Yemen and tearing apart its fabric

The Undersecretary of the Yemeni Ministry of Information confirmed that Yemen has reached a tragic state since the start of the Houthi war, which is constantly draining Yemenis on the political, educational and economic levels and has led to the division of Yemen and tearing apart its fabric.

He said Ghallab – in an intervention to Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath news channel – “The Houthi movement is based on a racist foundation that requires that society and the state be weakened and everyone exhausted so that this group continues to control and dominate,” noting that the processes of starvation, ignorance, and the creation of conflicts and sustainable wars are one of its strategic foundations and a tool. It is a tool of war to dominate and control.

He added that the Yemeni government is striving with all its energy for peace with the support of Saudi Arabia, the coalition countries, the international community and the United Nations because we are aware of what is happening in Yemen and these great risks and challenges facing the Yemenis, but The Houthis are not moving towards peace, so real military pressure must be exerted on them. He explained that the Houthis are the cause of the crisis that Yemen is experiencing by rejecting peace and creating conditions for the continuation of the tragedy, crimes and violations. Therefore, Yemenis must take action to defend themselves and protect future generations, otherwise this tragedy will continue and will not stop.

He pointed out that the UN paper, which is supposed to be a road map to end the Yemeni crisis, was the beginning of addressing at least the humanitarian issue, opening roads, and liberating prisoners, but the Houthis are the ones who are stubborn and raise the ceiling of their requirements for the crisis to continue.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi war has brought disasters to Yemen, inflicting great losses on the country and making it rank first in the list of the most fragile countries in the world. The Houthi war has also led to the division of Yemen and tearing apart its social fabric, economy, and infrastructure.
