Russian Defense conducts artillery fire in the Volgograd region

The Southern Military District (Yuvo) announced that Russian soldiers had conducted artillery firing exercises with barrels and missiles at a training ground in the Volgograd region.

“During field training, the military complied with the standards for deploying weapons, occupying firing positions, engineering equipment, camouflage, reconnaissance of targets and solving firefighting tasks,” the statement read.

It is noteworthy that the crews of the Khost 120-mm self-propelled artillery destroyed targets imitating the approaching enemy tanks and infantry groups with direct fire from 800 to 1100 m.

The press service reported that the crews of the 152-mm self-propelled howitzer “Msta-S” and artillery rockets “Tornado-G” eliminated more than 200 secret areas and individual targets at distances from 3 to 14 km.
The places of stockpiling of equipment and enemy command posts were also destroyed.

More than 200 soldiers and about 50 units of weapons and military equipment participated in the exercises.
