Maria Alkina and Lucy Stein, members of Pussy Riot, arrested on hunger strike

Pussy Riot members Maria Alkina and Lucy Stein have gone on hunger strike because of the communications ban.
It is noteworthy that the two girls were placed under arrest because of propaganda for Nazi symbols.

Lawyer Daniel Berman said, “…they demand that they be allowed to communicate and be placed in the same cell in the special detention center.”

The Tverskoy court in Moscow found punk rocker “Pussy Riot” Maria Alekhina guilty of publicly displaying Nazi symbols and was detained for 15 days.

The reason for the arrest was the photo of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with a swastika, which was posted on the working page on Instagram. Published in 2015.

Maria Alkina was arrested in Moscow near her home on Thursday, December 16.
