Dhahi Khalfan reviews the achievements of the General Department of Excellence and Leadership at Dubai Police

DUBAI, 17th May / WAM / His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, reviewed a report submitted by the General Department of Excellence and Leadership at Dubai Police, on the most important achievements achieved by the department in the field of results-based government excellence and the shift towards leadership.

This came during the meeting held in His Excellency’s office, where the results of excellence in the Dubai Police General Command were reviewed, where His Excellency was briefed on population growth statistics in the Emirate of Dubai, in addition to the role of the Dubai Police in achieving the indicators of the national agenda and its achieved results, such as the percentage of feelings of safety, and the average Emergency response time, alarming crime rate, and traffic fatality rate per 100,000 population.

Global competitiveness reports for the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai were also reviewed, as the Emirate of Dubai achieved first place in the safety index according to the Best Cities in the World report for the year 2023.

The presentation included the outcomes of the internal institutional evaluation, the results of Dubai Police’s participation in local and international awards, most notably the Dubai Government Excellence Program and the Minister of Interior Award, the role of Dubai Police in creating leaders and qualifying them to assume leadership positions in local and federal government departments and institutions, and the committees chaired by the Dubai Police General Command at the level The Ministry of Interior, such as the Communities and Nationalities Risk Committee and the Money Laundering Committee.

The presentation included reports on the volume of growth in initiatives and projects, as the total number of initiatives and projects over the past years reached 730 initiatives and projects, in addition to improvement projects, Six Sigma and Kaizen projects, and their impact on raising the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Major General Ahmed Atiq Al Maqoudi, Director of the General Administration of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Brigadier Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Leadership at Dubai Police, his deputy Brigadier General Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, and Colonel Badr Busamra, Director of the Evaluation and Institutional Excellence Department, Colonel Faisal Al-Khamiri, Director of the Strategic Planning Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al-Hafiti, Director of the Initiatives and Projects Department.
