Zelensky refuses "Olympic Truce"

KIEV, 18 MAY / WAM / Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his rejection of the idea of ​​a truce in the war with Russia that was presented to him by French President Emmanuel Macron during the 2024 Paris Olympics, which will be held from July 26 to August 11 next.
Zelensky said, in an interview with Agence France-Presse, “There will be no guarantees that Russia will not take advantage of the truce to send its forces to our lands,” stressing that Kiev will only accept a “just peace” despite the West’s calls for a quick solution.
