Egyptian-French cooperation to increase cancer recovery rates

The past two days, Cairo witnessed the launch of a new cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Health, the French Gustave Institute, which specializes in cancer research and treatment, and the Elevate Hospital Management Company, through the establishment of the first French Gustave office in Cairo.

 

The conference witnessed a large presence of senior figures in the health sector and a large number of professors specializing in the treatment of oncology and cancer.

 

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, affirmed the state’s keenness to Increasing rates of early diagnosis of cancerous diseases, using the latest diagnostic tools, and treating patients who are diagnosed with the most advanced therapeutic protocols in the world.

 

The ceremony was attended by Engineer Ibrahim Mehleb, President. The former Egyptian Council of Ministers, and a number of former health ministers, Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic, Dr. Hussein Khaled, former Minister of Higher Education and one of the leading oncologists in Egypt, and representatives of various health sectors in Egypt.

 

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Population This global institute for cancer treatment and research is a new beginning to revolutionize cancer diagnosis and treatment services, in addition to the knowledge revolution enriched by the exchange of experiences in developing protocols and using technology for early cancer screening.

 

< p>The Minister of Health and Population revealed the Ministry’s intention to implement the “Interception Programme”, which includes molecular and genetic tests to predict and prevent cancer in some individuals, which will contribute to saving the lives of many, explaining that achieving these goals and directions begins with the establishment of the Gustave Roussy headquarters. in Egypt, which will focus on capacity building, training and education, which will be the first branch of “Gustave Roussy” Outside France worldwide.

 

For her part, Dr. said: Marwa Abdel Rasoul, one of the participants in organizing the conference and an oncologist, said that the conference witnessed the discussion of many of the latest technologies in treatments and mechanisms for early detection of tumors, and is considered a documentation of the state’s efforts aimed at increasing interest in health care.
