Gazprom sets a record for daily gas supplies to China

Gazprom has set a record for daily shipments of Russian gas to China, according to a statement on the company’s website.

The statement also notes that gas supplies to Europe are being fully implemented in accordance with existing contractual obligations.

In mid-December, Gazprom announced that it had decided to increase gas supplies to China through the Siberian Gas Pipeline by the end of the year.

The Siberian pipeline is the largest gas pipeline in eastern Russia, supplies gas to Russian consumers in the Far East and China. Its export capacity is 38 billion cubic meters of gas annually.
