Grammy Awards postponed due to Omicron

The National Academy of Arts and Technology’s 2022 Recording Grammy Awards may be postponed for several months due to the spread of the new Omicron virus strain.

Organizers want to postpone the show, scheduled for January 31, to late March or early April.

The event is set to take place in Los Angeles, but CBS and the Academy are looking for other venues. Perhaps the show will move to the Hollywood Bowl, an outdoor concert hall.

Grammy nominations were announced in November.
